Acrylic glass is more known among the people as a plexiglass – this is multifunctional plastic, which has many applications. They can both glaze in the room and create their own aquarium or vase. But in order to stick out the quality of plexiglass, which will last a long time and reliably need to know a few nuances of handling him. In principle, a plexiglass of very suppressive material and you do not need to use great efforts to cut it, glue it, and make seams thin and inconspicuous.
How to glue a plexiglass
The most famous way of gluing organes is the use of such a tool as dichlorestan. It is more reliable than any glue. When using this fluid, which can be bought in any market, you need to be very neat, since dichlorestan is very poisonous, because it consists of various chemical elements that can easily melt both acrylic glass and any other surface. Before gluing a plexiglass, you need to process all the edges of the glass very well. This can be done with a laser or a simple file. Even edges are already half the quality of work done. When glue of plexiglass, you need to act very quickly and sequentially. After applying dichlorestan to the desired surface (this can also be acrylic or plexiglass), you need to immediately connect the parts, preventing the liquid from drying. For more reliable gluing, you also need to lubricate all the remaining cracks with a solution.
If you do this for the first time and doubt the accuracy of your dimensions and are afraid that the glued parts will not be equal to each other, we advise you to use a ruler and double -sided tape. Then the deviation between the parts of the ex -glass will be minimal, and the gap between them is almost inconspicuous. And in no case do not rely on this matter on superglines. Even well -advertised means are not able to give such a good result as dichlorestan.
How to glue a plexiglass
You can also prepare a special solution with dichloroetan so as not to use it in its pure form and thus save. You just need to mix 150 g of dichloroethane liquid and 10 g of chips from plexiglass. Such a solution will be even more reliable and will serve you for a very long time.
In general, you do not need to call any specialists for gluing plexiglass and not even have to have golden hands. You just need to act step by step and be very accurate and neat. Well, you can do without dichloretan.
